Department of Diagnostic Radiology

Diagnostic radiology is one of the most demanded areas of medicine. At least 85% of all diagnoses are based on X-ray or tomographic findings. The Department of Diagnostic Radiology has the state-of-the-art high-performance equipment. All radiologists and radiographers have a large professional experience and broad specialization.

The Department of Diagnostic Radiology carries out:

  • X-ray examinations, including mammography with tomosynthesis, dental examination
  • Densitometry
  • Computed tomography
  • Magnetic resonance imaging

In addition to studies, radiologists of our department can provide consultation on or interpretation of X-ray and tomographic examinations performed in other institutions. This is especially important when the reports are lost.

The Department of Diagnostic Radiology has the modern digital equipment for X-ray examinations, as well as a multispiral computed tomography scanner (MSCT) and a high-field magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) machine (1.5 T). X-ray Department is equipped with the advanced X-ray units Sonialvision G4 and Radspeed (SHIMADZU, Japan), allowing for the reduction of radiation load on the patient and receipt of traditional and digital images. The remotely operated X-ray complexSonialvision G4 is used for tomosynthesis — a new advanced technology for receipt of high-detailed images.
