Fractional laser photothermolysis:

Treatment of cosmetic skin defects by fractional photothermolysis is a unique technology of non-invasive skin exposure, based on the use of light energy in the form of laser radiation, which significantly affects surface layers of the skin and is used mainly for removal of age-related skin changes, pigment disorders and scars. Currently, this method is considered as the most advanced and effective way of treatment of cosmetic skin defects.

Indications for procedure:
— wrinkles: effacement of not only small, but also deep wrinkles, such as crow's feet. Wrinkles can be removed on any skin area, including eyelids, neck, decollete, hands. The procedure does not cover large expression wrinkles. It does not cause unnatural skin tension;
— fading skin, enlarged pores, elastosis, reduction of turgor and skin tone: skin rejuvenation by removal of old skin microparts and intensive growth of young skin;
— pigment spots: removal of pigment spots on the face, neck, decollete and arms;
— melasma: removal of excess pigment caused by hormonal changes in the female body;
— scars (atrophic, hypertrophic): can be removed on any skin area;
— post-acne: effacement of acne craters, reduction of pigmentation;
— stretch marks: skin effacement, leveling, which makes stretch marks almost invisible.

The procedure's peculiarity is in its directional effect: the light energy does not go beyond skin, thereby reducing side effects to a minimum. The laser beam forms microthermal zones in the skin in the form of columns 50–150 microns wide and up to 1,000 microns deep. The method is unique because in the next 24 hours after the procedure the basal layer of the epidermis is completely restored, the destroyed cells of the epidermis are peeled off within two weeks. Then, in the exposure area the reactive synthesis of new structural elements of the epidermis and the dermis, as well as rearrangement of the surrounding tissue space take place.

Remodeling of the epidermis and dermis with the help of a fractional laser helps improve aging skin turgor, reduce pore size, eliminate small wrinkles, improve skin texture and level the skin colour.

The technique offered is officially approved for clinical use, performed according to prescriptions of the physician on the basis of patient’s desires and clinical laboratory methods of examination, taking into account anatomical features in each individual case.

Treatment of cosmetic skin defects using fractional photothermolysis can be carried out without local anesthetic. The procedure lasts 20-30 minutes, depending on the exposure area.
The final cosmetic effect cannot be seen quickly. The recovery speed depends on a number of individual peculiarities. The final result of the procedure can be observed after 1-2 months.
